Meet Mrs. DeProspero
|
I grew up in Raleigh and attended Wake County schools. I went to John Brown University in Arkansas, where I studied Elementary Education and ESL. After teaching in Randolph County, NC for two years, I moved to Kampala, Uganda and taught kindergarten at an international school for 3 years! In summer 2018, I moved back to NC and joined the Davis Drive family!
I am passionate about learning and trying new things and I love to share that passion with my students! I strive to create a family atmosphere in my classroom where each student is celebrated. I look forward to a great year in kindergarten! When I’m not teaching, I enjoy being outside, trying new foods and experiences, and visiting my friends all over the country and the world! I am so excited to get to know you and your child! |
I grew up in West Virginia and met my husband at West Virginia University. We both studied Aikido and Japanese at the university and decided to further our education in Japan. We taught ESL at Kanda Institute of Foreign Language and at the Aeronautical Safety College. While in Japan I studied Aikido, Urasenke Tea Ceremony and Kyudo, Japanese Archery. We lived in Tokyo, Japan for 15 years.
Our children were all born in Japan. Our oldest, Michael, is married to Christina and they have a one-year old daughter, Zoey. Michael is finishing his last year of residency and has accepted a position at a local family practice in Cary. Mika, our only daughter, is married to Daniel and they have a four-year-old son, Leo. Mika teaches Kindergarten at a local school in Morrisville. Then we have twin sons, Dylan and Ian. Ian works for CW 22 TV as a data analyst and Dylan is in NC State’s Veterinary School. In my free time I enjoy practicing Kyudo, sewing, crafts, reading and spending time with my family. I am excited to be working with Ms. Hasenauer this year and can’t wait to get to know your children. |
